I can't even have a full set of characters (1 of each class) in hardcore/seasonal league/regular, which is ridiculous. I can hardly even have enough space for each class to have 3 out of 4 sets, which is disappointing. The focus of the build is offensive stats, favoring kill speed over defenses. It is a melee dual-based build with excellent scalability and the ability to clear the complete content of the game. Whereas with something like D3 (or to a lesser extent Path of Exile - if you're willing to stump up $$ for extra tabs/character slots) the game doesn't really encourage/reward trying out niche builds. This build is one of the bread and butter builds in Titan Quest. So you can explore some kind of niche/oddball build and if it's not working just shelve it and then later on maybe you find a rare piece of gear (with some other character) and think - 'hey, wouldn't that go great with such and such old character? And then you can bring them out of mothballs no problem. Whereas with TQ you can have empty-tillion characters just fine. So they let you do complete free respecs - but still only within your class. The problem is (1) the number of characters for each account is extremely limited and (2) each set of gear requires different skills. the most obvious ones being the various class-sets). 5? classes, and there are maybe half a dozen common builds for each of them (e.g. Anyway level 25 is pretty early if you want to restart. All masteries are redesigned with some form of sustainability. It would also rely on acquiring some weapons. A mod for Titan Quest immortal throne which completely changes all the classes the player can choose. Thane is a decent class but I'd say you need to be quite experienced to build it. Maybe twink a little gear across in the shared stash.Ĭontrast with (say for instance) Diablo 3 where you have. Then make another character and check the box that allows you to start in act 5. I'd say shelve this toon, and start another one with the two masteries you want. ĭifferent combinations suit different play-stylesĮarly levelling is very quick - IIRC level 25 is around late Act 2 (so the second act out of at least 15 (with three difficulty levels each act repeats three times)) Every combination has at least a third mastery that you think 'oh hey, wouldn't it be great if I had that skill.
